I grind up all my leaves to make compost & use
that in veggie garden, flower beds, around shrubs in place of bought
mulch. I also mix it with peatmoss, perlite, vermiculite, lime &
Osmocote to make my own potting soil. It keeps the weeds down in the
gardens, adds nutrients to the soil & breaks down into beautiful black
dirt.
