Hi, John: Took me a while to find my book, but Knott's Handbook for Vegetable Growers, 4th ed., says that rhubarb should give 200 cwt/acre. Page 381 gives a formula for estimating yields. Basically, you (1) select a sample section of a row (like 10'); (2) harvest the section; (3) weigh the harvest of that section; and (4) multiply the weight by the conversion factor the book lists for your row spacing, which, if you planted your rhubarb crowns 24" apart in a row, your conversion factor to use is 21.8. Hope this helps.

Can anyone tell me how many pounds to expect per rhubarb plant after they are in for 2 years?
Thanks. -John (southern Wisconsin)
