Hi all,
My best approach has been to vacuum them up using a battery operated hand held vacuum. Then dump them in soapy (ordinary, phosphate free...soap) water. The soap ensures that they don't float and drown. If you do it every evening you can keep well ahead of the damage. Cucumber beetles can eat down just sprouted squash and cucumber plants, but they can also transmit bacterial wilt which causes the mature plant to wilt and die.....
Have a great growing season!
Maureen
