You are right that it is very time
consuming to tie the twine to the top wire. If you have acre long rows,
you might need to plant bush beans. Horizontal rows of twine would sag. Beans
do not climb well on horizontal wires nor do they cling to wire as well as to
string. We do use the heavy wire panels for sugar snap peas. Many
years a yard section of them will fall back away from the wire panel. The
vines attach to one another with greater adhesiveness than to the wire. Christine for Marlin Burkholder From:
