Hi,

To my surprise, broccoli raab has developed a pretty devoted following among my CSA and market customers.  I have grown sessantina grossa and spring raab, both from Johnnies.  They taste and cook up good but on my farm here in CT they grow longer (taller) and have less flower heads than the 'Andy Boy' variety in the store.  I tend to like the taste and look of the 'Andy Boy type'  but haven't seen a variety that looks like that, or maybe it just has a different growth habit on the west coast.

Any ideas on where to find a variety thats shorter and more 'heady'?

Thanks,

Paul

They're already overcrowded
From your dirty little war.
Now Jesus don't like killin'
No matter what the reason's for,
And your flag decal won't get you
Into Heaven any more."
