IMANTS 'spader' is NOT a spading machine, per se. All of the good stuff you've heard growers say about spading does NOT apply to the IMANTS machine. I think there is into about this on the Market Farm Implement's page. Get a CELLI and you get a spader that deeply cultivates your land without inverting the layers. I've been using spaders for about 10 years now and have experience with both the IMANTS and the CELLI and a couple of other brands. The IMANTS machine is a super tiller, so don't be surprised if people speak well of it. It's just that it's NOT a spader and it does not tread lightly on your soil foodweb.
It came onto the market as a Dutch workaround on the Italian spading machine patents.
