Every year I seed my main season 80 day tomatoes on or around April 5. They are always ready to field plant by May 15th. Young seedlings always produce better bigger crops than the over hardened early started plants most people grow. Expect to begin harvesting by August 10... Bob.

Hello, I/we have never started our own tomatoes. How long after putting seed to dirt, can we expect to plant?  Guess we are running out of time but want to know if we still have time (our transplanting date is usually around 5/15). Thanks. Tom
