I took the old insecticide boxes off of my old 7000 planter and made mounting brackets and installed a chain to the box, and drop the fertilizer in the row beside the seed, about a 1/2 inch away. On the beds under plastic, I use a lawn spreader ahead of the tiller to incorperate the fertilizer in, then I use my bed maker and mulch layer to finish the process for our beds.
