WE invested in a $200 cement mixer from Lowes for our potting mix last season. Ultimately, we found it easier and more effective to do our mixing with shovels on a concrete pad than to load the cement mixer in which things inevitably 'caked' in some fashion that kept them from really mixing during the tumble. We sold the mixer...for $100. -Allan PS I do have a friend who uses one of those monstrous old time tow-behind-the-truck mixers for her soil and she has been very happy with it.
