I am in the mid-atlantic region (western PA) as well and I seem to be having the same experience as everyone else.
i planted out about 300 eggplant plants and have not gotten much fruit EXCEPT for "Calliope".
The Calliope plants came on strong about a month ago, we were swimming in beautiful, gorgeous, delicious bicolored eggplant and the customers loved them. I heartily recommend!!
Now though, they have slowed down immensely due to cool night temps (45 degrees several nights in a row).
The other varieties are 226 (very early- first week of July but hardly any), Kermit (which is not doing so hot either), and Pingtung which has not produced at all yet which is odd since usually they are very dependable and prolific.
