Gary,
We have had rains off and on for weeks here in KY. The last few
years, my Tomatoes suffered far less blighting than all of my neighbors.
I attribute alot of this to both straw-over-paper mulching under the
plants ( no splash-back from soil to foliage) - and regular sprinkling of
plain cornmeal on foliage and ground. I garden organically, so the chems
are never an option. So far, so good. I have had my tomatoes produce
twice as long as the farms around us. Very low cost helps, too.
Toni
