Around here, what we do is get several growers together and buy a SEMI-LOAD of SPECIALLY BLENDED ORGANIC soil mix. The price per bag is very reasonable, compared to retail, so it doesn't really hurt to part with all that cash at once.
I assume we've already discussed that commercial mixes may have non-Omri approvable wetters and fertilizers that DO NOT have to be mentioned on the label, so, either buy from a company with known organic values -or- look for that damned OMRI label.
