Alan,
We consistently got $2.00 per pound last summer at the farmers' market.
We allowed the customer to specify size and variety, and folks came
back week after week. They were dug fresh for every market day.
I dug a few hills of Nordlands in the hoop house and sold them for $3.00
a pound this past Saturday. Some folks walked on by, but we must have
flung a craving on enough fanatics to sell out in 30 minutes. These
were the first potatoes of the season at this market, which helped.
