I get great production from my Tomatillos that are in tall cages of
Concrete remesh. The branches spread easily to the sides and outward,
while the strong stem keeps the plants upright no matter how huge they
get ( these are big plants!). It is easy to reach in and harvest.
I plant Marigolds, Calendula, and Basils below my Tomato family plants -
no husk worms here in KY thus far. Might a few doses of BT work for the
worms? Since the husks are open at the bottom, that might be all it
takes to be rid of them.
Good Luck, Allan!
