If you sell by the pound, you may be required to have your scales certified.
I looked into this and found it is easier to sell by the number or "bunch".
I do weigh items for my own records, but I do not sell by the pound. Check
into this before buying a scale that does not qualify for certification!

I have a scoop-style hanging type with spring, so it doesn't need batteries
or power. I find it okay for my uses, but I got it free and didn't look at
alternatives. My scale was certified years ago and can be certified in the
future if needed. I like having that option.
