Are you referring to Japanese Knotweed or wood. The weed is a relative of the
buckwheat family, an eight ft. tall shrub with white flowers. It grows along
our ponds and stream banks. I guess your land is wet?. I would try mowing it
close to the ground with a bush hog then rototilling the roots for two or
three years. You can spot treat each plant with a herbicide called
Primatol... Bob.
