Alex

Thanks.

I have the owner's manual.

The pullys don't appear or feel particularly worn. I am using official
belts. Only one belt is required. The other set of pulleys is for a lower
overall speed.

The adjustment block is far down on its track when I put the last new belt
on and it squeaked and bogged down when the tiller sunk into the bed. I had
to hold the shifting lever down and it continued to till as long as I held
it. In the past, when I adjusted the block further down the shifting lever
wheel that rolls on the adjustment block goes forward under the end of the
adjustment block track. Once the belt stretches a little it's all over and a
new belt is necessary.

I have looked on the tiller and in the manual and can't find the stop block
that is welded to the top of the shift yolk. There doesn't appear to be
anything broken or missing. Maybe I'm the one missing it?

I wonder if a shorter belt would work. I have tried other belts but they
haven't been strong enough. Any thoughts?

I also wonder is there is something worn internally.

Thanks

Marty Kraft
