Hi, Folks!
The following is from the President of Slow Food-Philadelphia Chapter. The international Slow Food organization promotes biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, taste education, and support of local artisanal food producers. By nominating a food to the "Ark," these foods (and the processes that make them) receive both local and international publicity that can help those who produce the food make enough money to keep producing that food!
