Not to toot my own horn but I have lost 85 pounds over the last 2 years. When asked what kind of diet I have been on, I simply reply, "the good old fashioned farm diet". This includes lots of hard work and fresh whole food in only the amounts needed. The more fresh veggies I consume the less that I can even stand to eat highly processed foods. The weight has come off, my family has not been sick and at the peak of my summer production I am spending less than $150 per month at the grocery store (including paper goods). So the advantages to good eating are evident.
