"English" peas and also sugar snaps and snow peas have done well for me when planted in February. We are on the northern edge of zone 7. I have also tried to plant them in late summer for a fall crop, and lost them to frost at 22 degrees F.

We have planted green or "english" peas several times and been hit or miss, mostly miss, on our timing. Has anybody in the mid south had success? How early in the spring can we plant? How much frost/freeze will they take? Have customers begging for them; advice appreciated. Thanks
