! Please tell me about the silicone! Where do you get
it and what do you do with it? Why do you need it? We got a new EZ-UP
and we've put it up once.
I used a can of WD40 - sprayed all the joints and hingpoints etc. Made the legs abit slippery for a while 'cos I was very generous! EzUp do sell sand bags that go around the legs (you fill with sand yourself) and I migh look into that. Yesterday I just used cinder blocks on each of the legs. I have two straps that I can use (I hate bungy chords - I have seen too many of them spring back and hit folks!), I intend using the straps - one on the rear towing bracket and the other 'somewhere' else. We do have towing rings on the front but that is rather far away (it is an Expedition)so I was thinking either going thru the window to the door handle, or the wheel hubs - anyone know if that will work.
I didn't know about the rusting problem, but they seem to do ok on the market - the market manager has had his 5yrs now and the fabric is starting to fray alittle. BTW I got the ExpressII model
