I'm sorry it's taken me to say thank you for everyone that responded to
my questions about getting a market garden started in my tiny Long
Beach California garden.
I do think salad greens might be the best way for me to start. I hadn't
really given mushroom growing much thought, but now I'm seriously
considering it.
My garden is about to be redone. I'll wait for the end of this growing
season tho. I will pot up most of the herbs I have in the ground to
make space for veggies. I like perennial crops. They take a lot of work
out of gardening. But my space is so limited that I'm finding that it's
not as practical as I hoped for my situation. Besides I need to grow
what people are accostomed to buying to get started. Then I can venture
off into unusual crops.
I don't know where this will take me but I'm ready to find out.
Benjamin
