For general information to all:

If your email reader has an option to View All Headers, you'll see a section
like this (just before the message body) for any list that you are on
(assuming that the person who set up the list followed standard operating
procedure). It gives you instructions for leaving gracefully. See
List-Unsubscribe above.

It will not be the same address as the list, so that other people on the
list
don't have to get subscribe/unsubscribe messages. If you do it wrong, you
will generally get some helpful hints from the listserver.

For Yahoo and ibiblio lists, there are also Web pages where you can subscribe
and unsubscribe. Keep a set of bookmarks for pages where you subscribed to
lists so that you can enter and exit at will.

The moderator may do it for you after seeing a message like this, but they
probably have other things they could do.
