I grew up in west central Iowa and rhubarb grew well there. Cold
winters are not as hard on it as hot summers. It does not thrive in
Arkansas! But should do well in zone 5. Check with your Cooperative
Extension Service for a bulletin on how to grow it, and maybe they can
give you sources as well. Many of the nurseries that sell strawberry,
asparagus, and bramble plants also sell rhubarb.
