Garlic, Garlic, Garlic. The most important thing I have found is that the soil temperature is what is the important consideration when it comes to planting. When soil temperature, (taken about 10am) is between 50 to 60 degrees, this is the most ideal time to plant. In zone 5 this usually averages out to be about Octbober 15. This year, all the garlic is in..... over 2000 cloves, and harvest season awaits. Good Luck to all those that plant this fantastic stuff.
