We use nursery sign holders. They are metal and have a base and a space for a 3 x 5 plastic card, the same type you see in garden centers and such. We get them from our greenhouse supply company.

You can laminate 3x5 or 5x8 cards with the crop name on it (under the lamination) and then write the price on the card with dry eraseable marker. This makes the price changeable with the season or availability. Many marketers use spring-type clothes pins to attach price cards to containers. The cards can be stapled to the clothespins, or glued. Another way is to use 12" or 6" wooden stakes with the signs attached and then use the produce to support the stake. This works until you only have a few items left in the basket.-----Dr. Laurie Hodges, Vegetable Specialist, CPH377 Plant Sciences - University of NebraskaLincoln, NEĀ  68583-0724phone: 402-472-1639 FAX: 402-472-8650e-mail: lhodges1 AT unl.edu ---
