Accurate pricing information at the point of display works best
according to retail marketing studies.
If you can afford them, professionally prepared signs work best.
Those with time on their hands over winter can make fruit or
vegetable cutouts in double or triple (maybe larger depending on
the size of the item) from waterproof 1/4" masonite and paint
them to resemble the real things. Fun art project and useful
too.
Have you considered small welding clamps or some such?
