The farm where I am working now has had a serious problem in the past with
powdery mildew on summer squashes, which we are just beginning to harvest.
The plants are doing fine at present, but we would appreciate any advice on
avoiding this problem as our harvest continues. Are there possible
weaknesses in our soil that encourage the mildew, is it purely weather and
carry-over of the fungus from previous years or something else?
Thanks,
Becky French
