Boulder Belt Organics Farm Tour
4526 Crubaugh Rd
New Paris, OH 45347
Saturday September 8th, 2001 3 to 6pm EDT

Boulder Belt Organics in association with the Ohio Ecological Food and
Farm Assoc. (OEFFA) Miami Whitewater Valley Chapter would like to
announce their farm tour.

Boulder Belt Organics is a small OEFFA certified organic farm that
raises vegetables, fruit and chickens in NW Preble County Ohio, near New
Paris, OH. Eugene and Lucy Goodman have been working the 5+ acres farm
for the past 8 years, selling their produce locally at health food
stores, such as the Clear Creek Co-op, farmer’s markets and straight off
the farm.
The guided walking tour of the farm will feature free range chicken
management (for both eggs and meat) and vegetable production, high
tunnel and row cover use for season extension as well as IPM,
composting, cover cropping, crop rotation and specialty crop production.
The tour should take approx. 1.5 to 2 hours and will start promptly at
3pm. Questions are encouraged and will be answered. Anyone who is
interested in growing or eating organic food is strongly encouraged to
come. This tour is free and open to the public. Free drinks and restroom
facilities will be available.

To get there from Richmond take US40 east 7 miles to Duffield Rd and
take a left. Go another mile and turn right on Crubaugh. Boulder Belt is
the second house on the right side of the road.
>From Dayton (Eaton/Oxford) take I-70 west to exit 10 (Rt127/Eaton). Go
north to US40 and turn left (west) and drive approx. 6 miles to Duffield
Rd. Turn right and proceed to Crubaugh Rd. Look for the signs.
