Regards to the list:

The north Missouri "swamp" dried up enough to re-disk, harrow and plant yesterday! We got about 650 tomato, pepper and cabbage plants transplanted with the transplanter we got this spring. It worked great after a few tweaks and twiddles. Thanks to lurker, Linda Chapman for the transplanter. Thanks to lurker, Glenda in Stewartsville, Missouri for most of the plants.

We also put up 5 cattle panels in arches for pole beans and cucumbers. Going to try to grow some lettuces inside the arches. We anchored the panels with steel posts.

This will be a great experiment in how late-planted things do.

Yesterday, when the starter failed on the tractor, I was ready to throw up my hands and quit. But, after pulling it with the pickup, it started and we left it running all day. Now, it's parked on one of the few hills we have. I am almost to the point that if one more thing goes wrong - well, I don't even want to go there.

After I call the Agco Allis dealer to inquire about a new starter, I'm off in a semi-hobble to plant some seeds.
