Thanks for all the info on advertising, logos and such. It is appreciated,
but the real problem of the matter is not so much a need to advertise but
a lack of product to advertise. With a market composed of relatively new
farmers that seem to be struggling to have enough to sell, I hate to
advertise too much and then have customers disappointed. Some customers
understand that it's still early in the season, and we'll have more
available as the beans, squash, tomatoes, etc. come in. I don't know how
to get better farmers at the market, since I'd have to "steal" them from
other markets, which isn't likely if we don't have better sales. So how do
I get my current farmers to improve their offerings? I'm sure they'll
improve on their own as time goes by (or stop farming)so do I just
practice being patient, or should I try giving out more farming info like
articles from "Growing for Market" and such?
