Can anyone here tell me where I may find some research materials and Info on
using paper mulch in the place of plastic mulch. I'm really getting tired of
having to burn last years mulch to get rid of it. I'm looking for a mulch
that I can run through my tiller in the late fall, and be ready to plant
early spring.
We went to grinding good hay and using it for a mulch rather than the plastic
mulch but it does take a lot of labor to put in place, I'm using an old feed
wagon and dumping along the side of the row then using rakes and draging it
to the plants. This works real well in the tomato patch to control weeds and
also lets us let the plants just spread out on the mulch this way the
tomatoes never get on the dirt.
I"ve read a few articles on this paper mulch, sounds real good to me, we
don't have to pick it up.
