Hi All,
There are a couple of herb farms that take apprentices for the growing
season. There programs are wonderful! The cost is ~$1200 for 4 weeks at a
time and most people do it once. The cost includes R/B- in a beautiful
Japanese style house (4 bunks / room), 3 vegetarian meals/day, weekends off.
There is a 2 hour seminar each night on herbs and herbalism. Otherwise they
work 8- 10 hour days.
They have to turn people away because they can only take so many at a time
(12). These are well run programs with excellent results.
Consider, that in a 20 week growing period they are grossing $72K to have 60
people help them on the farm.
Makes ya think about working smarter, not harder, huh?
