Hey Barry (garlic growing wannabe)-
There's a little known book called "A Garlic Testament- Seasons on a
Small New Mexico Farm", by Stanley Crawford (Univ of New Mexico Press) that
can only inspire you more in your new venture. It's a great read for ALL
market growers actually- you'll learn all you could ever need to know about
growing garlic, as well as getting a well written exposition on market
farming and the balance of growing/marketing with a family in tow. I got it
as a gift, but i imagine you could order it from any bookstore.
I'm a flower grower, not a garlic grower. That said, the person that
asked about pinching lisianthus flowers, no need. DO be sure and use
support netting though. Beautiful flowers- good luck.
