Hi again Joan!

Go ahead and plant some strawberries! The way our luck has been running, we'll end up with 37 out of the 9000. And, if we ever have any, the people around here will gobble them up! My folks raised strawberries years ago and all these people still remember that. Everywhere I go, they ask if we're growing strawberries and when are they going to be ready. It's like they're lurking outside the fence for them! :-)

I forgot to say before that I was able to cut scion wood from the old seedling apple tree. Now, to figure out how to graft. The helpful fellow at Fedco said he would help.

I've never eaten huckleberries, but I've never a found a berry I didn't like - even gooseberries.

The dowsers will be coming soon to find some good water and to move it to the deep well that went dry. The city water here just sucks. It smells like Clorox when it comes out of the tap and I'm afraid to water my plants with it. Been using pond water. I wonder if my tomatoes will taste fishy?
