I pour used oil on my livestock trailer floor, on the lowboy floor and the
wagons. Also use a bucket to dip the heads of the axe, spade, shovel, etc,
in. I also dip my chore boots in it to water proof them. I always save a
can to oil up chains on the equipment. You can set up a dripper to drip into
your wood stove. It may not be environmentally correct. But you can look
at it another way. I save trees by not having to replace my floors every
few years. I save fossil fuels, leather and iron by not having to replace
my tools and boots. I don't have to buy new oils for lubricants or new
chains by letting them wear out.
