Here is a real low tech version, fits in the bed of a pickup truck http://www.loadhandler.com/ Drawbacks -depends on clearance of truck (but probably the same as regular manure spreader), - you still need to get the "load" into the back of the truck somehow. Pretty cheap though at about 100 bucks, sold locally through larger hardware chains.

I'm desperately in need of finding a manure or compost spreader for raised beds. I'm currently planting 4' X 100' beds and wheelbarrowing four yards/bed across two acres is getting to be the death of me. New or used, preferably used. Somewhere as near to East Texas as possible. Any info or tips on alternative measures would be deeply appreciated.
