Kathy,
It may not be the air is too cold but the lack of oxygen to burn. In
a small greenhouse you need plenty of ventilation to allow for the
burning of the fuel to take place with some effeciency. Here in the
Chicago area I don't even consider heating the greenhouse, its just not
worth the cost of the fuel to try to heat an uninsulated (double poly is
in effect only a five degree barrier at best) space. Having grown up in
the northeast I can't imagine its much different and costs a fortune. I
find I can start growing in mine (20"X50') by the end of March without
