Do any of you have experience with corn gluten as a weed suppressant? I tried it several years ago on a newly planted strawberry bed with a control next to it. The results were fairly good - fewer weeds, greener strawberry plants. I feel unsure of the best method of using it. I know it involves spreading, working it in a bit, wetting and then 3 days of no water (that's been the hard part here in the northwest spring). I've never found advice on how much to use or how soon after transplanting a crop the gluten can be used. Have any of you used it successfully?
