we consider our largest renewal resource are rocks. They bubble out of the ground, here, by the bushel full. We often try to determine which crop they grow the best with. You know, do the rocks bubble up larger where the tomatoes grew or is it the eggplants that grow large rocks? On the other hand, I think rocks grow poorly with a companion crop of garlic. Or atleast that's an unscientific theory. maybe one of those bright people over at the ag school could study the matter.
the only good, since there isn't a big market for hand picked rocks, is never having to buy a stake to hold down row covers.
No one we can find rents rock pickers for a 3 point hitch and new ones are way out of our price range.
