Gary is being too restrained. Peddlers have done more damage to
legitimate growers in farmers markets than you can imagine. They take
the business that is due legitimate growers AND destroy the reputation
of the market. Peddlers turn their "production" on a dime. When
something sells well one week, they will have it the next and cut the
profit of the person that had the foresight to grow the popular item.
Eventually they drive legitimate growers out of the market and then,
when customers discover what is going on, the market dies. Minimize
your misery and don't give the peddlers cover. Find a legitimate
market. I have been too restrained, also; not a single cuss word,
though the topic rates it.
