I use a dosatron pump on my irrigation line and have used fish emulsion,
sulfate of potash and kelp. At each riser I have a 150 mesh filter. I
inject primarily chemical fertilizers with it but for several months I
was trying to go organic and so I tried different organic materials.

There was little difference in plugging problems or pumping problems
between the organic and chemical. The only difference is that organic
materials tend to settle and require additional agitation. I use T Tape
and I use county water.

The real question to me is why do you want to inject fertilizer? I do
it because some of the land I farm doesn't support a good crop. Organic
materials for me did not have the response through fertigation that I

can get with chemicals. The best thing is to have the soil in good
shape . The best production is from beds that I don't need to fertilize
through the drip.

I did not see the kind of response from fertigation that I got from
carefully applying compost and covercropping and matching crops to
soils.
