Bill's suggestion is a good one- using 2 layers of film with a fan. This
gives you more
energy conserved in heating than used to run the fan.
Another possibility is multi-layer polycarbonate panels. They look like
cardboard with
air spaces between 2 or 3 very thin layers of Plexiglas. They last longer,
but are more
expensive than film. They work great on lean-tos and houses of the same
design (shape)
as those designed for glass. However, they're much lighter than glass and
don't require
as heavy of a frame.
