The terminology isn't oversowing--it's undersowing. When done
correctly it enhances the main crop & does not compete. I do all my
undersowing 4 weeks after my main crop. This gives the main crop a
head start before competing with the undersown plants. I use several
varieties of clover as it is low growing and attracts pollinators.
