It probably would - IF you get them into good light as soon as they spread
those cotyledons. It always amazes me how quickly they will stretch - even
in a greenhouse if we have a few gray days. When your production is large
enough to justify it, germination mats are a great investment. We have 4,
which handles 36 flats, and hope to double that next year. Our favorite tool
for pricking out is something called a nit-picker - stainless steel, and
used to be available from Pinetree seeds for $2-3.
