NYC CNC: MACHINE SHOP VIDEOS
NYC CNC started posting videos on YouTube back in 2006
when we were just learning the ropes. A lot has changed at the shop
since then, but we still love sharing knowledge with others with our
instructional machine shop videos. YouTube has always played a big role
in learning for us - and our YouTube Machining and Fabricating videos
are our way of paying-it-forward. Our videos, as well as our Facebook page, also offer insights and "behind the scenes" into life in the machine shop.

NYC CNC: THE MACHINE SHOP
NYC
CNC is a machine and fabrication shop located outside New York City
specializing in prototype development, design-for-manufacturing
evaluation, fabrication, and machining. From milling and casting to
welding and bending, NYC CNC loves executing on ideas.
WHAT WE ARE GOOD AT: Milling things out of Aluminum (and some plastics), plasma cutting, light fabrication work. We are pretty sharp at design-for-manufacturing, too. If you have a CAD model and want a prototype made, give us a shout. We like working on projects that interest us; if you're an artist, an Arduino-hacker or just doing something cool, let's talk.
WHAT WE ARE NOT GOOD AT: We aren't going to be the best fit for creating CAD drawings for you - if you have an idea but no CAD model, have one made (eLance is great for finding help). We aren't a high-volume shop, so our quote isn't going to be applicable for your business plan if your annual quantity is 10,000 units - but we can help you get your design in tip-top shape to help get the best pricing from high-volume shops.

NYC CNC: OUR STORY
NYC CNC was started in
2007 when John purchased a TAIG desktop CNC milling machine for his
Manhattan apartment. John had been trying to bring a product to market
and struggled working with machine shops for one-off prototypes and
tweaks. He started a now-popular YouTube Channel
documenting successes & failures while learning the many skillsets
of machining and fabrication. NYC CNC has since grown out of Manhattan
to a proper shop with a Tormach PCNC 1100 CNC Mill, an Emco V13 lathe
and various of machining and fabrication equipment. We are grateful to
those who have helped us get where we are and we enjoy paying it
forward.
