Title: Lyceum Registration Question I have just installed Lyceum and have finally gotten things to work. As an Admin, I can log in, change my profile, etc.
My next step is getting users into the system to begin blogging.
Here’s my catch: my users will not have e-mail addresses. What I’d like to do is have each user use my e-mail address to register, or for me to produce a text file to mass-upload.
Seemingly, Lyceum uses this to create the initial password. I have modified wp-register.php to not check e-mail (by commenting-out lines 186-190) but I still got a generic error to contact the webmaster.
On line 208, I removed $email from the parenthesis, and this generates these users in the DB, but when I get the e-mail, no password is created.
In a sense, I solved one problem, and created another.
Is anyone else in the situation I am in—accounts without passwords in a K-12 environment? Or is there another solution?
Thanks for reading!
