That picture struck me. Our experience at markets tells us people are in serious trouble, their limited cooking skills & so much frustration trying to grow a few things themselves. So like most others at the mercy of the supermarket & middlemen. Lots of people would love to grow and cook, at least where we see them. They care about pesticides & GMOs. Also strikes me as odd that our clientele had trouble with curly top virus on tomatoes but it never occurred to them to Google it. I took them straight to it. Clue: the leafhopper that spreads it doesn't like to feed in shade, so row covers.
