Low cost, flat on top of 3x8 frames, all cheap spliced culls from Home Depot.
Poultry netting stretched & stapled tight under screen. Right now protecting
greens & carrots. Fresh transplants get shade in this heat with old sheets
from a thrift store. Also for early or late frost protection. Catch is plants
get too tall & they have to be moved off then or get some way to raise sides
higher. I can work with the beds by propping up one side with a 4' 2x4. So
2x8 sides is about as heavy as I want to move or prop up. All screws, no
nails. As you can guess a lot of trial & error. But the payoff is a lot
earlier & later produce than other growers, not to mention good greens in
heat of summer. I have used a simple hoop system inside the greenhouse tho.
