Actually the fact that its being published is good. The USDA admitted this about 2 years ago, but nobody reads USDA research papers, and 20 years ago numerous publications came out which suggested that not only GMO foods, but many if not most f2 hybrids have also sacrificed trace mineral content for extra size and starch. If enough mainstream articles come out that suggest that GMO's and modern hybrids aren't cutting it , it help shore up heirloom/open pollinated sales quite a bit. These sorts of articles are typically countered with industry propaganda which says their new hybrids/GMO's are no different, but having the debate return will hopefully raise new eyebrows. --- On Tue, 7/13/10, pbunch@cox.net <pbunch@cox.net> wrote:
